Boxing

Boxing is a combat sport in which two opponents engage in a contest of strength, strategy, and endurance by throwing punches at each other, typically while wearing gloves. The sport is governed by a set of rules and is usually conducted in a rectangular ring. Boxers score points by landing punches on their opponent’s upper body or head, with the goal of either winning by knockout (rendering the opponent unable to continue) or by accumulating more points than the opponent by the end of a predetermined number of rounds. Boxing has various styles and techniques, including offensive and defensive strategies, footwork, and combinations. It is not only a competitive sport but also a form of physical exercise and self-defense training. Boxing has a rich history and is a popular sport worldwide, featuring prominent competitions like professional matches, amateur bouts, and the Olympics.
